In an effort to delay that jiggle, I work out and eat healthy. I cook as much as I can, using natural products unencumbered by additives. I lived through the eighties so there are enough chemicals bouncing around my in body from the disco daze. To make it to and through my eighties, I'm especially mindful of the ingredients in any prepared foods I buy.
This easy, healthy salad dressing recipe is a staple in my fridge.
The tangy, sweet taste will zest up any salad. The creamy texture (from guilt-free yogurt) gives you the luxurious feeling of velvety richness. In reality it's low calorie, low sodium, low fat. High in flavor.
My favorite thing about making my own dressing is that I get to control the contents. I use what I like and what's good for my body.
1/2 cup fat free yogurt
1/3 cup orange juice
1/4 cup white Balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup EVOO
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon grated ginger
Salt and pepper to taste
Container that closes tightly
Zester, peeler and knife for ginger
1. Add ingredients to the jar.
2. Close the jar and shake to emulsify.
